The token

$PLAY

$PLAY is the currency at the tables. It runs on two chains with two separate supplies and two separate markets. Every figure on this page is read at build time and stamped, so you can see how old it is.

The fire pit

20% of the fees from every poker game are sent to an address we call the fire pit. Tokens that arrive there stop circulating: they are not traded, not sold, and not used for anything. As people play, the amount in circulation goes down and the amount in the pit goes up.

We want to be exact about what that is and is not, because plenty of projects are not. The fire pit is not a true burn. A true burn destroys tokens permanently and irreversibly. These tokens still exist, and the account is controlled by the project — the private key has not been thrown away.

That is a deliberate choice. Destroying the tokens outright would tie $PLAY to Solana permanently, with no way to move the project if that ever became necessary. Keeping the key means keeping the ability to act. The trade for that flexibility is that you should not think of these tokens as gone forever — you should think of them as parked, by a project that has never taken them out.

What we commit to: the fire pit receives only. Nothing has ever been withdrawn from it, and the address is public, so any withdrawal would be visible to everybody the moment it happened. You do not need to trust this description — you can watch the address yourself.

Chains

$PLAY is live on Solana. The liquidity pool tokens on Solana have been burned, which means the pooled liquidity cannot be pulled out by anybody, including us.

A launch on Robinhood’s chain is planned. It will be an independent supply rather than a wrapper: tokens moved across are taken out of the Solana side first, so the same token is never counted twice. Until that launch happens, every figure on this page describes Solana alone.

Before you buy

$PLAY is a cryptocurrency, and cryptocurrency prices go down as well as up. This page explains how the token works — it is not advice and it is not a forecast. Never put in more than you can afford to lose.
